Apart from the regular course curriculum, SRI does encourage students to participate in various extracurricular activities. For girls the activities range from cooking, dancing, embroidery and for boys the activities involve karate, etc. Apart from these activities, school children are given a free hand in various techniques used in painting, drawing and crafts by SRI volunteers.
SRI organizes regular filed trips to all the SRI school children in and around Hyderabad and Rangareddy Districts. Basic purpose of these filed trips is to educate the children about the society which is part of their learning curve.
Recently, SRI has organized a field trip to Nehru Zoological park located at the outskirts of Hyderabad.
The objective behind organizing/conducting these extracurricular activities is to encourage students to identify their potential in various fields apart from academics which would make them face the real competitive world after passing out of their higher education.
SRI in partnership with Lotus Children’s Hospital conducts primary health check-up camps at the adopted schools every 3-6 months. Student’s thorough check-up is done by experienced doctors including Pediatricians, Ophthalmologists and Dental surgeons.more+
SRI believes that technology is a great enabler and gives emphasis on the use of technology in day-to-day life and to empower the young, SRI has set up a computer lab at the SRI GPS to bestow the children with the latest computer aided learning teaching methodology.more+
